Mission and objectives
Our mission:
The Opole region’s greatest assets are its human capital, high agricultural and technical culture as well as local manufacturing traditions cultivated for many generations.
The region’s showcase is its robust chemical industry, made up of over 70 enterprises and employing more than ten thousand people. The agri-food sector is also highly developed.
The mission of the Opole Science and Technology Park is to make use of that potential, which will steer the region towards innovation and modernity.
Our mission:
to create an innovative environment and to place more emphasis on the application of scientific output to business practice, with a view to stimulating business initiatives among scientists, as no administrative incentive works better than actual profit.
to operate effectively in the field of technology transfer – we want to be an effective link between the products of scientists’ efforts and their laboratories and the needs of the industry, and vice versa. What we basically want is to bring science as close as possible to business.
The Park should be an institution implementing the Regional Innovation Strategy of the Opolskie Voivodeship for 2004-2013.
Therefore, we intend to promote and establish innovation clusters, which will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of enterprises. At the beginning we plan to establish two clusters comprising business entities and institutions operating in the agri-food and chemical sectors. The clusters are meant to facilitate the exchange of innovative ideas, such as new products, raw materials, technologies or utility designs.
