Information on the partner:
The company was formed in 1968. A state-owned enterprise for several decades, it is now a joint-stock company with a State Treasury stake in it. The mining of sand and sand-gravel mix is located on the border between the Opolskie and Śląskie Voivodeships. We use these raw materials to produce and supply high-quality sand and gravel for construction purposes. Closely connected with our mining business is technological railway transport. In addition, we provide railway transport services consisting mainly in coal carriage. We also deal with the economic utilisation of waste. This year we have activated a new minefield. On the currently used cast we are preparing, for the time being by ourselves, the ground for a flood-protection reservoir with a surface area of approx. 10 km2 and a capacity of 40 million m3. We plan to leave some pieces of equipment near the company’s headquarters as monuments of technology.

By applying innovative ideas and the resulting activities we can make sand mining the subject of interesting and useful initiatives. The problem we wish to address is the utilisation of large amounts of soil in the form of peat, clay and silt generated by pits. Another problem concerns new applications for aggregates produced.
